Does the performance of aluminum alloy castings not meet the requirements?

In the production process of aluminum alloy wheels designed for Aluminum Alloy Die casting molds, improper operation and material selection have led to many quality defects in the aluminum alloy wheels, including unqualified mechanical properties of aluminum alloy for die cast silicon. The main problem of unqualified mechanical properties of cast aluminum profiles is that the mechanical strength and elongation are lower than the requirements of Die Casting Part standards. The main reasons for the mechanical properties not meeting the requirements are: the chemical composition of the alloy used is unqualified; There are pores, shrinkage cavities, and slag inclusions inside the castings; Sample processing method error; Unreasonable casting structure and insufficient stress on the casting; Improper smelting process, etc. Countermeasure: In the production process, the chemical composition and impurity content should be strictly controlled, the melting process should be strictly followed, and samples should be made according to requirements. During production, regular process inspections of castings should be carried out, and the melting and pouring temperatures of alloys should be strictly controlled to eliminate various factors that contribute to the formation of oxides in alloys. The main problems encountered in production are: excessive size and unqualified chemical composition. The key dimensions of the aluminum material are out of tolerance, indicating that the casting dimensions do not match the billet drawings. This is mainly verified through physical inspection. The reason may be unstable installation of aluminum alloy casting molds, position deviation, or sliding block displacement caused by damage to mold parts. The mold needs to be repaired, reinstalled, and reused. The unqualified chemical composition of aluminum alloy during the casting process indicates that the alloy elements do not meet the requirements, which may be due to improper ingredients, or it may be due to the raw materials and circuit materials being put into use without analysis. Aluminum Alloy Die Casting processing plants should conduct chemical analysis of furnace materials, strictly manage furnace materials, reasonably determine the proportion of new and old materials to meet the requirements of the smelting process, and apply coatings on the surface of smelting tools.
