Methods of manipulating surface quality during aluminum alloy die-casting processing

1. The surface roughness of the casting mold should meet the regulations.
2. Casting molds are not allowed to have penetrating defects such as cracks, poor casting, and bubbles.
3. Casting molds allow for defects such as scratches, dents, missing flesh, and network burrs. However, the degree and quantity of defects in repairing Aluminum Alloy Die casting should be consistent with the standards allowed by both the supply and demand sides.
4. The inlet, burrs, overflow ports, separators, and top rod scratches of the casting mold should be cleaned and tidy. But it is allowed to leave scratches.
5. If the engineering drawings do not have unique requirements, the manufacturer independently specifies the partial settings of the die-casting process, such as the top rod, Die Casting Part shot blasting rust disease diagnosis line, inlet and overflow port. Otherwise, the engineering drawings should be marked or discussed by both the supply and demand parties.
6. The surface of the casting mold that must be produced differently, such as polishing treatment, shot blasting, stainless steel plate, coating, anodizing treatment, analytical chemical oxidation, etc., must be indicated on the drawing or discussed by both the supply and demand parties.
The vast majority of Aluminum Alloy Die-Casting are used after heat treatment, and the purpose and significance of heat treatment methods are:
① Improve mechanical performance;
② Improve the characteristics of mechanical processing and manufacturing;
③ Eliminate the internal stress caused by quenching and uneven structure during the entire casting process, and ensure that the castings have more stable structural characteristics and specifications;
④ Improve the efficiency of casting organization and improve corrosion resistance.
The commonly used heat treatment processes for aluminum castings include heat treatment, aging treatment, quenching and tempering heat treatment, and cycling treatment.
